Reusable Street Lighting ‘Power’ Joints
The PTC RECO (Reusable ECO-friendly) joint is ideally suited for street lighting applications and is the industry’s leading reusable cable termination system with over 60,000 units installed since 1999. All the joints in the range, from the simple SF/4 onwards, use our unique glanding system to provide an IP68 certified waterproof and dustproof seal for single and multi-core, medium and low voltage, street lighting cables.
Unique design
Requiring no resin or gel to encapsulate the electrical termination, the RECO joint is a significant, more environmentally friendly, advance to the alternative resin cast solutions and is certified to IP68. On site COSHH and shelf life issues are also avoided. Most importantly, they can be easily installed and reinstalled unlimited times without specialist tools, heat sources or chemical protection being required. The standard enclosures are transparent enabling the cable terminations to be viewed without opening the joint.
Options
The joints can be supplied with a range of terminal block combinations and can accommodate various sizes of cable through the use of different glands and seals, which can be tailored to meet your application. Other options include multi-height variations and variable mounting chassis. Plus, they can be used in conjunction with ‘Passive Pole’ technology and can terminate cables up to 10mm². The outer canisters are available in a variety of colours.

Construction Materials
The joints are manufactured from rugged polycarbonate, glass filled polypropylene and nylon 6 with high impact strength at low temperatures. Temperature range: -40°C to +60°C.
